Hi Vickie,
Good news - the software already has that capability! On any Search page, you can click on the labels of the fields to open up more search options, including the ability to search by a specific date.
For example, on the Call Search page, you can click on the words "When Reported" to open a context menu. Within that menu are a handful of date options that you might find useful. Select the "On" option, and then when you click back into the field you will be able to search for a specific date.
