Release Notes for May 2021

The May 2021 release of the Ally software contains the following notable features and fixes:

Ally to Aware
  • Ally can now send CAD Calls to CommandCentral Aware. New calls with a lat/long will be added to the Aware map and will stay updated as units are dispatched and the call status changes within Ally.
  • Aware is a cloud-based solution that provides device and incident location mapping and alerting, plus management and display of video feeds. It allows users to view assets and properties, as well as personnel locations in a single, real-time mapped view.
  • The integration between Ally and Aware is free for anybody who has both an Ally and Aware subscription. If you would like more information, please reach out to your sales rep.
Clery Updates
  • We have made a few quality of life upgrades and fixed a few issues for Clery.
  • Included in this is better reporting of certain statistics, adding Disability reporting for Hate Crimes, and breaking Hate Crimes out into their own section.
  • Instead of simply showing a count of Hate Crimes, Ally will now describe them in plain language.
Misc. Fixes and Changes
  • Places have been moved to the top of the Address results drop-down. For agencies using Places, this will reduce the time it takes to select the address.
  • The CAD map can now be hidden on an agency-level. Simply go to Admin > CAD Settings and select "No" under "Enable CAD Map."
  • A Notes search field has been added to Daily Logs, allowing users to search all Daily Log notes.
  • On a mobile device, while uploading attachments to Daily Logs, an attachment would not save properly if the user closed the dialog before the upload completed. This has been resolved by preventing the dialog from closing if the attachment was not saved.
