Release Notes for March 2020
The March 2020 release of the software contains the following notable features and fixes:
Statistics Dashboard
- Pie Chart, Bar Chart, and List reports can now be pinned to the Dashboard, allowing agencies to display useful information - like the number of Incidents from yesterday - at a glance.
- Users can choose up to eight reports to add to the dashboard and customize the height and width of each report.
- To add a report to the dashboard, the report first must be generated and saved. Then, from the My Reports page, the user must choose to allow the report to be displayed on the dashboard.
Additional Search Filters
- A Location Notes search filter has been added to Calls for Service and Incidents, which provides users the ability to search for minor details that might only be captured in the "Call for Service/Incident Location Notes" field.
- A Comments filter was added to Calls for Service so users can search within the Call Comments field.
List Print Details
- A "Detailed Template" option has been added to the List Print page on Calls for Service and Incidents.
- Like the List Print has always functioned, users can apply a filter on the Search page for Calls for Service or Incidents and then choose to Print All to get to the Print page.
- Once on the Print page, users can then select which template they want to use to view the information - Standard, which is how it has always functioned, or Detailed, which will display the additional information.
Misc. Fixes and Changes
- An issue was discovered where using the "Update All Units" option on Dispatch to set the Units to "Traffic Stop" status instead set them as "En Route." This has been resolved.
- Alarms from Avigilon Control Center displaying in the Alarms panel can now all be cleared at once with the new "Clear All Alarms" Option. This option is only available to System Administrators.
- We found that email service providers typically only allow 20 MB of total attachment size when an email is coming into their system. Ally previously allowed users to send up to 50 MB of total attachments, but since email service providers will not accept that amount, Ally's email-able attachments limit per record has been scaled back to 20 MB. This will have no effect on the size of individual records or the number of attachments that can be added to a record.
