Creating Engagement Records

Use Engagement records to track when your agency engages with people. You can connect the Engagement record to an Incident record.

To create an Engagement record, you can either create one from the menu, or create one from the associated Incident record.

To create an Engagement record from the associated Incident record:
  1. Open the Incident record.
  2. Make sure to involve the person with the incident as a victim, offender/subject, or other.
  3. In the Victim, Offender/Subject, or Other section, click Engage [person] Now, where person is the role of the person. For example, if you are engaging the victim of an incident, the link is Engage Victim Now
The Adding New Engagement screen opens.
  4. Complete the fields to add the engagement information.
  5. Click Save and Close to save the Engagement record.
  6. To return to the Incident record, click the incident in the Involvements list.
To create an Engagement record from the menu:
  1. From the Events menu, select Engagements.
    The Engagement Search screen opens.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. Complete the fields to add the engagement information.
  4. Click Save and Close to save the Engagement record.
