Updating the Status of Units
To update the status of a unit:
- From the Dispatch or Calls screen, click the Update Status button. The Update Status dialog box opens.
- In the Unit field, select the unit to update.
- In the Unit Status field, select the status to update.
- In the Comments field, enter any comments about the status update.
- Click Save. The unit status is updated.
Updating the status of all units on a call
To update the status of all units on a call:- In the Active Calls area on the Dispatch screen, click the call. Select Update All Units from the list. The Update All Units window opens.
In the Units Currently Assigned fields, the units that are assigned to the call are displayed. The fields displayed depend on the types of units assigned to the call. For example, if only Law units are assigned to the call, then only the Law Units Currently Assigned field is displayed. - In the Update Units Status To field, select the status to which to update the units.
- In the Comments area, enter any comments about the status update.
- Click Update. The status of the units is updated.
Changing the primary unit on a call
To change the primary unit on a call:- In the Active Calls area on the Dispatch screen, click the call. Select Change Primary Unit from the list. The Change Primary Unit window opens.
In the Primary Unit fields, the unit that is assigned to the call as the primary unit is displayed. The fields displayed depend on the types of units assigned to the call. For example, if only law units are assigned to the call, then only the Primary Law Unit field is displayed. - In the Primary Unit fields, select the units to be the primary unit on the call. A primary unit for each unit type can be selected.
- In the Comments area, enter any comments about the primary unit change.
- Click Save. The primary unit is changed.
