Using the Avigilon Alarm Feature

The Avigilon Alarms feature allows your agency to connect Ally to your Avigilon alarm system. When an alarm is triggered, the information appears on the CAD Dispatch screen. You can make the alarm into a Call record if appropriate.

To create a call from an alarm:
  1. In the Alarms area, click the alarm. 
  2. Select one of the following:
    A. View Video Clip: Open and view the video from the alarm. 
    B. Acknowledge: Accept the alarm, and create a pending call. The alarm is removed from the Alarms area, and a call is added to the Pending Calls area. 
    C. Cancel: Dismiss the alarm. When you select this option, you must confirm that you want to cancel the alarm. If you select Yes, the alarm is removed from the Alarms area.
    D. Cancel All: Dismiss all alarms. This option is only available to administrators. When you select this option, you must confirm that you want to cancel all alarms. If you select Yes, then the alarms are removed from the Alarms area. 
  3. If you created a pending call from the alarm, then dispatch and complete the call. While the call is active, you can click the call and select View Video Clip to see the video from the alarm. 
If you create a call for the alarm, then when you create records for the call (such as an incident, a call for service, or the call history), you can view the video clip for the alarm. From the record, click Actions > View Video Clip.
